Daily program > Monday, July 1st (Villa Arson)14h00 - Welcome gathering at Villa Arson 15h00- 17h00 - Parcours artistique The artistic propositions set for the opening of the conference aim to provide alternative spaces for questioning knowledge, social practices, and imaginaries surrounding Africa. This moment serves to spotlight art research, artist-researcher collaborations, and to initiate a dialogue among artist-researchers, curators, cultural project leaders, and researchers in the humanities and social sciences specializing in African societies. It's about challenging hegemonies, hierarchies of knowledge, and dominant representation systems, while also showcasing utopias, partnerships, and practical approaches each individual employs to create works and spaces where citizens and artists can actively engage.
